What is delta-8?

A powerful phytocannabinoid found in the hemp plant — i.e. a tiny slice of nature waiting to arrive on your doorstep so you can feel powerful enough to chase after your dreams. Or just to chill TF out. Either option is worthwhile.

It can get a little confusing when the compounds appear so similar. We understand! If you want to get scientific with it, the difference between delta-8 vs. delta-9 is that delta-8 has a double carbon bond on the eighth carbon in the chain while delta-9 has a double carbon bond on the ninth carbon in the chain.

This means that delta-8 interacts with the receptors in the body a little differently than delta-9 does.

While this may seem but a minuscule difference, that difference between delta-8 vs. delta-9 appears to, well, make a difference.

Research is ongoing, as is the case with most aspects of the hemp plant. Delta-8 tends to be a more mild experience for consumers compared to its delta-9 cousin.

Will Delta-8 Get You High?

Unlike with delta-9, don’t expect to be completely knocked on your a**. Most describe the high to be smoother and more prolonged with delta-8 than with traditional delta-9.

If you consume some form of the hemp plant on a daily basis (excluding hemp seeds), you’ll likely experience a high at a lesser degree depending on how much you consume. Ultimately it all depends on varying factors like metabolism, body weight, user frequency, and serving size. We’re all unique humans and we all experience different compounds in our own special way.
